New Trail Camera

For Tami’s birthday, Dave and Ben gave her one of those motion detector cameras you lock to a tree in the woods.

As if Tami didn’t stalk us enough, in our natural environment!  Sheesh!

Anyway, in it’s first two weeks, the camera took  pictures of Dave and Tami attaching it to the tree . . .

Cookie sniffing it after they’d hung it . . .

two stray dogs running down the path . . .

one neighbor taking a leisurely walk . . .

a fox out for a late night stroll . . .

and a couple of beavers hard at work . . .

Can you see the beaver at the top of the frame? That's where they felled the tree.

We’ve moved it to another location where we’ve spotted deer tracks.  I’m sure Tami will let us know if she finds any good pictures!

Christmas Came Early!

Here’s the official cover for my middle grade novel, being published by Islandport Press next summer!

LOOK OUT, LOONS!
What kind of person would want
to destroy a loon nest?
Cooper and Packrat are determined to find out.
All they have to do is fend off a bully, clean the
bathrooms, build a raft, find the culprit, get the loons
to come back, save the family campground, and make
sure they still have time for s’mores!

Carl DiRocco’s art is amazing, isn’t it?   I love absolutely everything about it!

I’m telling you, August can’t come fast enough . . .
