Labor Day Weekend ~ 2017

I know, I know,

I KNOW!

I’m late with this post.

Sigh.  That’s because I get so sad every time look at the Labor Day photos.

It was the last recreation schedule for 2017.  But my little campers didn’t let that get them down. They came prepared to celebrate!

They wore their red, white and blue holiday best!

Especially for the Pots and Pans parade on Saturday.  They decorated bikes, and wagons and helmets and each other!

I got to carry the flag in the Pots and Pans parade!

(I looooooove carrying the flag)

I think Ben’s a little jealous that I have that special job.

Debbie gave out whistles and we made tons and tons of noise with our friends!

As we wound our way around the campground, we were telling everyone to “Come out and play!”

How could they sleep in when there was so much to do??  All our favorite activities were jammed into one fun filled weekend.

“What activities?” you say?

I thought you’d never ask!  We had bocci, a scavenger hunt, water balloon slingshot, bubble play, adult bingo, candy bar bingo, a tie dye activity . . .

and we made our own lanterns, too.

There were lots of ribbons to be won, some of my little campers have been collecting them for years and years.

And of course we had a hayride!  We waved our flags and sang songs . . .

Then on Sunday, I woke up to rain.

“Oh no!” I thought. “What will my little campers do??”  I ran to the rec hall and found them making lobsters and lobster buoys!

Aren’t they awesome??

I shouldn’t have worried, because Debbie knows just what to do. She kept all the kids inside the rec hall to play games like bowling and minute to win-its, and have snacks and hang out.

Sadly, there was no recreation on Monday, but Tami and David host a special  dinner just for seasonal campers to thank them for staying with us this year . . .

Lobster and steak, with pot luck appetizers, dishes and desserts.

Yum!

Wait a minuuuuuuuute . . . those aren’t the lobsters my little campers made, are they??

It’s always such a nice way to end the summer . . .

just the way it started . . . with good company!

Halloween Too ~ 2017

What could be better than Halloween in August??

Halloween Too, in August!

You heard me right. A second Halloween!

I couldn’t wait! More trick or treating! More arts and crafts! More water balloon slingshot . . .

Uh oh!

What do I hear on the roof?  It isn’t Santa, he already came this summer.

It’s the pitter-patter of . . .

rain drops! Oh no!

Tami, Debbie and Brooke are gonna cancel Halloween!!  My little campers will be deva . . . deva . . . sad!

I raced down the stairs and across the driveway and . . .

Wait a minute!  That doesn’t look like a cancellation sign, does it??

I almost forgot!  We never cancellation our recreation!  Never, ever!

But . . . would my little campers come out and play?

I never should of doubted them!

We did bubble play on the porch . . . that was fun!

And we built haunted houses in the rec hall . . .

And ghostly decorations too!

It was a great start to our weekend!  And that was only Friday . . .

Saturday dawned bright and sunny again.  Tami said she ordered it special for all our campers. That was awfully nice of her.

The kids made site markers to hand out to all the families giving out candy . . . “Make 132 of them!” I said.

“Now, Maxx,” Tami warned.  “It isn’t all about the candy you know.”

Ha! I’d believe that when I saw it.

At the Ghostly Boo Parade, Brooke handed out some cool whistles!  Parents thought they were soooo amazing, they thanked Tami over and over and over again and tried to give them back.

Look how my friends are soooo ready for the trick or treating!

But we still had lots to do before then! There were Halloween Relay games on the playing field, the water balloon slingshot and oh no!   We’ve been invaded by mummies!!!

Mummies kind of freak me out a little. I’ll just hop on over to  . . .

what?  Fang spitting!!

Who would want to spit fangs!???

It turns out, lots of my little campers do!  That kinda-sorta looks like fun.  These campers were spitting fang-seeds over and over and over and no one was yelling at them!

In fact, they were getting ribbons for the best seed spitting distances!

Cool!

The Haunted Hayride was a lot of fun too!

Our local Girl Scout Troop was camping with us this weekend. They stopped by to say hi to me and get a group photo. Awwwww!

I love all my Poland Spring campers!

6:30pm couldn’t come fast enough, though!  Everyone was ready to trick or treat!!!!

We were all ready!  But Tami said it was only 6:23pm.  “We have to wait until  6:30pm, Maxx.  No starting until the witching hour.”

Tami is such a rule-type person. Sheesh.

More and more campers kept arriving and arriving . . .

“6:25pm!” Tami called.

“My bucket is empty!” this little guy said.

“Mine too!” cried another.

“No worries,” I told them.  “We’ll start soon!”

“6:27pm!” Tami called.

“6:30pm!!!”

Whew!  The words I’d been waiting to hear!

“Gather ’round my little campers!!” Tami called.

She gave out her super safety rules, told the campers to be back at the store for the costume party at 7:15 sharp . . . and then she finally said . . .

“Go and trick or treat!!!”

And off they went!

At 7:15 I wandered back to the office and there, right in front of my eyes, was a carnival party set up for us!!  It was so cool!!  And I wasn’t the only one to think so . . .

As I walked around, checking out everyone’s Halloween bags,  errrrr, ummm, I mean, asking everyone how they were doing . . . I realized that it wasn’t all about the candy for each and every one of my little campers.

For some, it was all about the Monster Mash Snack . . .

And for others, it was all about the prizes at the games . . .

Spider Rings
Balloon Prize from the Balloon Walk

And for still others, it was the thrill of the games themselves.

Quarter Toss
Sponge Toss

Fishing for Spider Rings
Tattoos
Balloon Walk

As always, we couldn’t run all our games without our fabulous teen and Girl Scout volunteers!

You all rock!!  It wouldn’t be the same without you . . .

Now excuse me, I have to go find a certain Storm Trooper and see if I can get him to come back this weekend for Sci Fi!

Until next time!

Halloween One ~ 2017!!!

Finally! Halloween had arrived!  My favorite weekend of the whole camping season!

Well, I guess they’re all my favorites . . . but Halloween has candy!

I rushed to find Debbie and Brooke!  I couldn’t wait to get started.  Friday afternoon, my little campers  met Debbie at the lake for a Nature Walk. They  gathered all kinds of nature-y things to make Lake Monsters in the picnic area. Then they had a Ghostly Cow Hunt and Teen/Adult Bingo after supper.   Last on the list for the day was a Light Parade . . .

Wait . . . what?  No trick or treating!!  “What’s up with that!?” I asked Debbie.

“It’s only Friday, Maxx.” Debbie explained. “Tomorrow you trick or treat.”

Visions of jack-o-lantern buckets full of candy danced through my dreams that night. And I woke bright and early and showed up at the office ready to go campsite to campsite . . .

Wait. What? Arts and Crafts!?

“Well, yes,” Debbie explained again, as the kids made Ghostly Site Markers. “There’s more than just trick or treating fun you know.”

“Fine,” I said. “Let’s hurry up and do them so we can get to the good stuff.”

Debbie pet my antlers and laughed.  “Oh, we will, we will.”

I have to admit, the Pots and Pans parade brought out a ton of kids!  And they were ready to make some noise, and show off the costumes they were going to wear later . . .

Look at all those pots and pans!  If you want to hear their noise, go to our Facebook Page.  They sure were loud!  I think they were as ready as I was to get to Trick or Treating!

After the water ballon slingshot , Frankenstein came to visit!

He lives!!!

Wait . . . he doesn’t really live. But this family DID build him at the Frankenstein building activity. Isn’t he cool?

Jewelry making and a Halloween Scavenger Hunt were on the activity list next.   “When is trick or treating!!!!” I cried.

“We didn’t have the Witch’s Stew eating contest yet,” Brooke told me. “Patience, little moose.  All these campers are looking forward to it.”

Whoa. That’s a lot of hungry campers.  But . . . witch’s stew?

Yuck!!

Eye of Newt?   Fangs of bat?  Bones of gnomes.

Shudder!

“How about spaghetti by Debbie?” Brooke whispered.  “Try not to scare the little campers with that wild imagination of yours!”

Oh! Spaghetti!  I can do that.

And it seems all my camper friends like spaghetti, too!!!

And while I loooooove spaghetti, it still wasn’t trick or treating!

I want candy!

“Hayride time first,” David told me.

I don’t argue with David.

Hayride time it is.

So Sammie and I went out to meet and greet all our little campers who were getting on the hayride.  And you know what?

All they could talk about was trick or treating, too!

Finally … after supper . . . Tami and Debbie and Brooke started running around, gathering up supplies for the costume party. So I wandered out of the store before they could put me to work and  . . .

Hunters!!

And policemen!  And escapees!!!!  Yikes!

Were they after me?

Oh!  I had to laugh at myself.  They weren’t real hunters!  Or policemen. (I wasn’t sure about the escapees though)  My imagination was running away with me again!

They were trick or treaters!

They had finally arrived!

ALL 95 of them!  (Give or take a couple)

Don’t they look awesome!?

“Can we start now? Huh? Can we? Pleeeeease?” I asked.

“Not yet,” Tami shushed me. “I need some pictures first.”

I thought she meant of me . . . but nooooooo . . .

She started taking selfies with MY campers!!  Sheesh.

Finally, she decided to get the show on the road. Tami got up on her soapbox to give the annual safety rules.

Then she got a group photo (’cause she’s so proud of all the costumes!)

Then she sent us out to gather as much candy as we could!

Okay, those weren’t her exact words. I think she told us to go have fun and be safe or something.

But the day wasn’t over yet!  Oh no!  Next we had a costume party at the lake!

Some penguin named Brooke drove me to the lake in the golf cart.

There was cookie decorating . . .

A tic-tac-toe toss game . . .

A knock-the-pins-down game . . .

A balloon race with water guns . . .

Tattoos . . .

Pin the nose on the jack-o-lantern

And a ring toss!

And a Ghost Bean Bag toss, too!

We think all our little ghosts, goblins, and minecrafters had a great time!

We couldn’t have done it without our teen volunteers, though!

Thank you, everyone!

And Hunter, too!

We have the best campers, ever!

Fiesta Weekend ~ 2017

Fiesta weekend is no time to take a siesta!!  You might miss something!

Sheesh!

It all started with story time on Friday. Then Bocci, Bubble Play and Arts and Crafts.  A penny hunt at the lake and Family Bingo rounded out the day.

Saturday dawned, a beautiful day! Debbie decided we needed to make Mexican hats and maracas.  Don’t they look great!?

Meanwhile, up in the office circle, Greg and Danielle were setting up their woodcarving demonstration.  They hadn’t even parked the truck, and Tami was over there checking out their wares!

See that cute little bear at the bottom of the picture?  She bought that for herself.

“Won’t he look cute on my book signing table?” she asked. “He holds business cards!”

Humph. I think she should have taken the grumpy bear.  Kind of a self portrait, no?

Danielle and Greg made short work of setting up.

Campers of all ages wandered in and out to watch . . .

When Greg started up the chainsaw,

everyone started guessing what he was making.

Except for this little guy . . .

He found it kinda loud!

There were guesses like, “It’s a bear!” and “It’s an eagle!” and “It’s a mouse!”

Okay, I can kinda see that last guess!   But it was none of those. It was a . . .

MOOSE!

But Greg wasn’t done . . . no way!  He had more carving to do!

And when he was done carving . . . burning.

Wait, BURNING????

Don’t worry!  It scared me too, at first. But it gives the sculpture some color and depth.

Then Greg sanded, which really adds some depth and highlights all his cuts and details.

Painting came next.

Ta-Da!!!

Hmmmm . . . that  moose reminds me of someone . . .

Thank you Greg and Danielle for another amazing demonstration!  It was so much fun to watch you create.

We do still have a bunch of their pieces in the office on sale, if you’d like to come by and look.

But not the little Maxwell. He stays with us.

While Greg and Danielle kept campers entertained in the office circle, recreation kept on happenin’!   There was the waterballoon slingshot, fiesta games, jewelry making

Seed spitting . . .

and the hayride too, of course.  My favorite time of the week . . . meeting and greeting my little campers . . .

And their pups!

There was so much meeting and greeting, I had to sit and rest with the retirees on the porch!

Rest, you ask?  Why do *I* need to rest??

Because we had a Fiesta Party in the playing field after supper!  I didn’t want to be too tired for that!

There were pinatas for every age group . . .

Which meant . . . C-A-N-D-Y!!!

We had lots of games to play . . .

Like, stacking the cans . . . which is not easy to do on water!

Tattoos . . .

Ring the Bottles . . .

A Shake-It Dance Off . . .

Throwing Darts at Balloons . . .

Rebound!!

Everybody walked away a winner ~ prizes for every try!

Debbie and Ron made Sopapillas for everyone . . .

I must have licked my lips a little too much when I saw this guy putting honey on his . . . I got the don’t-even-think-about-taking-mine stare.

The longest line though . . . was the Bouncy House line!!

David is a very good bouncy house bouncer.  He lets all the little kids in . . .

But no matter how many times I tell him how handsome he his, or what a great campground owner he is . . .

he won’t let me inside!!

Sigh.

But I had a great time anyway!!  I hope my little campers did, too!

A huge thank you to all our camper volunteers at the Fiesta Party. We couldn’t have these events without your help and dedication!

Super Hero Weekend ~ 2017

One of the things I like best about Super Hero Weekend – is that I get to meet so very many heroes all over the campground!!

At arts and crafts they made headbands, masks and arm cuffs to hide their  true identities!

There were some super villains among us too!

After doing all the usual mild-mannered, regular camper stuff Friday and Saturday morning, like super seed spitting, scavenger hunt, and bubble play,  we gathered on the playground to show off our super hero skills!

We zig-zagged our way across the playing field!

We were stylish!

We demonstrated great team work . . .

showed off our agility by crawling through small spaces . . .

And we soared through the air . . .

Okay, okay. Maybe we didn’t soar!  But we ran like the wind!

And we were very good at making distractions so the bad guys would be, you know, distracted and stuff from their evil-doings.

And Tami said we were super good at staring off into nothing-ness – like a true super hero.

Oh no!  Villainous villains!

We took out our super secret weapon . . .

the water balloon launcher!

Do they look a little scared?  Hmmmm . . .

Our Super Heroes are the best!

They play kazoos!

And they can count to three!

And they love hayrides, too.

On Saturday night, Almodarr and Angelique amazed us with their magic!

They did this thing, where they twisted that round circle with the spiral design and we had to stare at it and stare at it and stare at it . . . then Angelique said, “Now look at my nose-”

And I swear she shimmered – like she almost went invisible!  Other kids said her head got bigger.

And then there was the time Angelique started pulling ribbons from what I thought was an empty canister . . . .

and she kept pulling . . . and pulling . . . and pulling!

Finally, they came to the end! Whew!  I was beginning to wonder where we’d put all of that ribbon!  Hmmmm – maybe Debbie and Brooke coulda used it for next year’s super hero costumes.

The Steelgraves put on a great show!  Thank you Almodarr and Angelique!  We can’t wait to see what you come up with next year!

Santa in July!

This morning, Tami found me swimming in the lake.

“Maxwell, you have one job and one job only, to report on the recreation. You’re two blog posts behind and Super Hero Weekend starts tomorrow. When are you going to write them?”

“I can’t hear you,” I told her, while doing the back stroke. “I have water in my ears.”

“If you don’t get them done today, you’ll be grounded for the weekend. No Super Hero Weekend for you.”

No Super Hero weekend? I jumped out of the lake. “I’ll have them done today,” I told her. “No need for grounding.”

“Pictures and all?” she asked.

“Pictures and all . . . ”

So I did the post for Pirate Weekend.  And that took a lot longer than I remembered!  Since Tami doesn’t read the blog, I’m just gonna dump all my Christmas photos right here for you all to look at so I can go to Moosey Yoga, okay?  This deadline has me stressed!

Edited to add:  Apparently Tami DOES read the blog.  So I had to go back and tell you all what we did all weekend . . . . sheesh! She’s such a mean boss!

All week long my little campers and I waited for Christmas. Not the usual Christmas, but Christmas in July!

We had story time and arts and crafts every day. We made ice cream, told scary stories by the campfire, played kickball and held bubbles.

We even made Santa water sleighs and had a sink the ship contest at the lake!

When the big day finally came, there was so much to do! Arts and Crafts, Reindeer Races, snow balloon games and even a Santa Dress Up game!

These guys fooled me for a bit . . . I thought Santa had come early! But then I realized they may have had the Santa suits, but they were a little short to be the Big Guy.

This guy fooled me too!  He’s tall enough to be Santa, and was on a roof, but he didn’t have the Santa suit.

Everybody decorated! It was so Christmasy!

By 6:30 Saturday night, everyone was so excited!! Especially me! When Santa arrived, I was jumping up and down!

This kid, played it cool though.

Santa handed out treats,

while everyone played Christmas games at the party.

And just to be clear, they all won prizes. This little camper was the only lucky duck to get a cool rock like this one.

There was cookie decorating too . . .

And I think those cookies were a big hit!!

There were sooooo many people!

Santa told Tami there were 90 little campers in all .  . . 90!  Whoa!

I’m not sure how many adults there were, but they liked meeting Santa too.

And did you know, Santa brought a couple of friends with him?  The Grinch . . .

And Frosty!   It was so good to see them.

But I had to keep both eyes on that Grinch . . . he almost stole Christmas again!!!

Tami said she loved our Christmas party, because it was all about putting smiles on the kids faces, like this little guy who’s wearing the Santa hat he made at Arts and Crafts.

At the very end, Santa handed out gifts to all the good little campers. I don’t mind telling you,  I was a little worried.

Okay, A LOT worried!

But I did get a present!  So I must have been good, right??  Just like my friends, here.

And the best part about Christmas in July???

We only have to wait six months to have it all again!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Ahoy Maties!!

Arrrrr!   We be over-run with pirates back on the 8th !!!

And they be led by our own, Captn’ Brooke!

The whole crew invaded Story Time, Bocci, bingo, a treasure hunt and bubble play too!

I went over to watch the bubble making and I wasn’t gonna try it, but my little campers made it look like so much fun!

The big campers too . . . .

I just couldn’t resist!

I like it! I like bubble play!  I think I’ll go every week from now on!

Some of my little  pirates made Fairy Houses, too!

And Captain Brooke . .. she made us all walk the plank!

in style!

And THAT was only Friday.

Saturday was full of different fun and games.  After making eye patches and parrots at Arts and Crafts,

and playing landlubber games in the field, we had a Cannon Shooting Contest!

Nooooooo, not a real cannon silly!  Safety-First Tami would never let us do that!

First, we take a water balloon,

and then we put it in the slingshot . . .

and we pull back . . . far, far, back . . .

and we launch!   The first three to catch a balloon unbroken . . .

Gets a free ice cream certificate!

Some of my little campers made some awesome jewelry.

They worked really, really hard on it.

I wish I could make jewelry, but, you know . . . I don’t have thumbs. Or fingers.

The pirate games were a blast!

We played Pin the Pirate on the treasure map . . .

And a game where we had to wear a hook on our hands . . .

The big event of the weekend was Mad Science ~ what an awesome show!

It was all about energy . . .

He was very funny!

He shot off an Angry Bird!!  With a slingshot!

I love Pirate Weekend!  Everyone goes around saying “Ahoy Maties!” and “Arrrrr!”

And they tell a lot of pirate jokes too . . . . like, “What’s a pirate’s favorite letter?”

Did you guess R?  You’re wrong!

It’s C!  Get it?  C? The sea?

Never mind.

Who’s Ready For Some Camping?

Okay, okay. Maybe not right this minute!  But are you dreaming of it yet?

Max Moose pics (5)

I am!

Spring time kayaking?  The call of the loon? The eagles flight over the lake? Arts and Crafts? Super Hero Tryouts!

S’mores!

Aaaaaaah!  I can’t wait anymore!

Halloween Too ~ 2016

HalloweenToo (9)

You know, Tami really needs to re-name the second Halloween weekend.   I mean, doesn’t Halloween Too, make it sound like we do all the exact, same, stuff as Halloween One?

But we don’t!

For example, sure -we still have story time and bocci and bubble play on Friday.  But we also had a walk through the Freaky Forest in search of a Sneaky Snake.

HalloweenToo2 (2)

And we made Springy Snakes and played Ghost-Goblin games in the picnic area, too!

HalloweenToo2 (4)

On Saturday we made Ghostly Site markers instead of the pumpkin ones we made last week.

HalloweenToo2 (18)

HalloweenToo2 (17)

HalloweenToo2 (16)

We made a gazillion of them – in hopes there’d be a gazillion sites giving out candy.  And that’s all my little campers talked about

all . . . day . . . Saturday!

Candy!

But before that, we played relay games –

And we shot off ghostly water balloons.

HalloweenToo2 (67)

Buuuuut, these waterballoons didn’t go through you like a ghost does!

HalloweenToo2 (49)

HalloweenToo2 (52)

It sure is fun to watch my little campers try to catch them though!

In the afternoon, some of the campers asked Tami if it was time to Trick or Treat yet. “No,” she said. “Not till 6:30pm.”

“6:30?!!” I said. “Next year, *I* want to make the schedule!”

Tami laughed. “If *YOU* made the schedule, we’d have trick or treating a dozen times on Saturday alone, and nothing else!”

Hmmmmm. That sounded pretty good actually, until I remembered that we were supposed to have a Mummy Wrap contest . . .

HalloweenToo2 (80) HalloweenToo2 (82)

And a fang spitting contest!!

HalloweenToo2 (112)

Boy, can our campers spit!!

HalloweenToo2 (115)

Seeds!  They’re spitting seeds!

HalloweenToo2 (116)

Even the adults!!

HalloweenToo2 (118)

And if we only had trick or treating and nothing else, we wouldn’t have the Haunted Hayride!!

HalloweenToo (19)

HalloweenToo (13)

Our campers were soooooo ready for the trick or treating and costume party, they showed up in their costumes!

At 6:15, our little campers began to arrive at the Office.

“What time is it?  What time is it?”  They all asked, over and over again!

HalloweenToo (49)

And they tried to wait patiently . . .

HalloweenToo (51)

Now, the one thing that DOES stay the same. The thing that never, ever changes, is Tami giving the *yawn* rules to the restless crowd.

Don’t knock on blah-blah-blah . . . be sure to come back for blah-blah-blah . . . leave your bikes blah-de-blah-blah .  . .

(That’s what WE hear, because all we can think of is 132 sites of  CANDY!)

HalloweenToo2 (121)

Finally!  Tami asked for her picture . . .

HalloweenToo (62)

Then she said . . .

“Go!!  Have fun!!”

And we did!

Tami started to get a little worried no one was coming .  . .

Tons of campers came to play games for prizes and try our fruit kabob treats.

Tami, David, Alex and I, want to thank everyone who came to have fun this past weekend; whether you were a Trick or Treaters or a Candy-hander-outer!  Hope to see you next year!

HalloweenToo (148)

Halloween One!

What a lucky Moose I am!!

HalloweenOne (30)

I get to have two Halloween Parties every year!

Two!!

Once in October on the “real” Halloween, and again in August!

I think I like the August one better though – ’cause we have cool activities like Story Time and Bocci and Bubble Play and  . . .

making Lake Monsters!

HalloweenOne (46) HalloweenOne (48)

We don’t make Lake Monsters in October!

We do the usual weekend stuff too, like Arts and Crafts and water balloon slingshot and jewelry making and Horseshoes and a scavenger hunt.

Whew! That’s a lot of stuff!

But we have different things too, like blowing our whistles and marching in a Pumpkin Parade!

HalloweenOne (56)

and having a Witch’s Stew Eating Contest!

HalloweenOne (65)

HalloweenOne (66)

HalloweenOne (68)

(I always want to eat the stew too, but Tami won’t let me. She says it’ll get in my fur!)

We had only one glitch in the whole weekend – there was a shower at Hayride time. *heavy sigh*  But Debbie and Brooke had this really cool idea and they told all the kids to meet them at the Rec Hall.

“What are they doing?” I asked Tami.

“Creating Frankenstein Monsters,” she said. The phone rang and she picked it up.

“Frankenstein Monsters?” I cried. “Isn’t that dangerous!? I mean you know what happened to the villagers in the book, right?”  Tami shot me her pipe-down-so-I-can-hear-the-customer-on-the-phone-look.  You know the one.

So I ran to the Rec Hall, before they all did something crazy . . .

And I found this  . . .

HalloweenOne (71)

Boy, was I embarrassed!  They weren’t making reeeeeeal, Frankenstein Monsters.

Or were they?

HalloweenOne (76)

At 6:30, Tami gathered all our little campers at the office for a special announcement and some Trick or Treating rules. As usual, all we kids  heard was blah-blah-blah-blaaaaah.  All we could think about was the candy.

Just when I thought she was going to tell us all to begin- she made us pose for a photo!

And she wasn’t done there!  She kept stopping everyone, making them pose and telling them how adorable they were . . . and clever . . . and scary . . .

I kept whispering, “Tami! We want to go get the candy!”

But she kept saying, “Just one more!”

“You’d better get back and set up the party!” I tried distracting her.

“What time is it?” she asked, snapping another photo.

“Seven o’clock,” I said.

She was off like a shot to the rec hall!  Luckily, Debbie and Brooke had everything taken care of. Whew!

There were lots of fun games . . .

HalloweenOne (7)

And I got to hang out with all my little campers for a bit.

There were cool prizes like spiders to scare Tami with . . .

HalloweenOne (23)

And vampire teeth, too!

HalloweenOne (15)

And we had Witch’s fingers and Goblin punch for a snack!

HalloweenOne (37)

Yes! I’m the luckiest moose in the world, ’cause I get two Hallowee-
