What does 'Kid Friendly, clean and quiet' refer to. It is our concept of what a family campground should be. It is both our philosophy and our daily goal. To provide Kid friendly activities and atmosphere. To maintain clean facilities and to provide a secure and quiet atmosphere at night.
What is check in and out time? Check in from 2pm - 9pm and check out by 2pm. Early arrivals and late departures are permitted if the site is available but would require an additional fee. Call the morning of your arrival for availability.
Are we allowed to have visitors? Visitors are permitted but please advise them of the following information: All visitors must stop at the office first, no exceptions. There is a visitor fee, even for their pets, but it may be refunded if the stay is less than one hour. Visiting hours are between 8am and 9pm. No visitors will be admitted after 8pm for any reason. Visitors with their own camping equipment must obtain their own site. We reserve the right to deny access to any visitor. You are responsible for your visitors, so if you are not on the premises, you’re visitors will not be permitted.
Are overnight guests allowed? As long as they check in before 8pm and are staying in your camping equipment. Visitors with their own camping equipment must obtain their own site. We have a one family, per site rule. We reserve the right to deny any visitor an overnight pass. Over-crowding a site is not permitted and is determined by the office.
What are your quiet hours? 10pm to 8am. We are a quiet, family oriented campground and with this in mind, we strictly enforce our quiet hours. Violators may be asked to leave without warning.
How many vehicles are permitted per site? Most sites can accommodate 2 vehicles. However, there are some sites that can only take one. If necessary, one can be left in our parking lot.
Are fishing licenses required in order to fish in Lower Range Pond? Yes, they are. We do sell them in the store, however. Ask for information upon check in.
I'd like to bring my boat, what do I need to know? Lower Range Pond has a 9.9 hp limit strictly enforced by Fish and Game. If you have a motor, current registration and a Maine Lake and River Protection Sticker is required. Lake and River Protection Sticker can be purchased in the store. You are welcome to leave boats by the water's edge. Ask the office upon check-in to show you where they are permitted. We strongly recommend you lock them.
Are bikes permitted? Yes, during daylight hours only. They must be ridden on roads , not between the sites. Helmets are strongly encouraged.
Are pets permitted? Yes, at the discretion of the campground. They must be quiet and hooked to a leash at all times, even on your campsite. Please do not allow them on the campsites of others. They must be cleaned up after. They are not allowed in the beach, pool or playground areas, nor in any of the buildings. They may not be left unattended. When arriving, ask for a doggie bag.
Are air conditioners included in the rate? No. Running your air conditioner requires an additional $2 per day. Electric heaters are not permitted.
May I bring my minibike? Minibikes, trail bikes, four wheelers, and most other single person or unregisitered motorized conveyances, chain saws, generators, firearms and outside refrigerators are not permitted.
What if I need to cancel or leave early? A 14 day notice is required to receive a deposit refund. A service charge of $10 will be withheld. There are no refunds if leaving prematurely. Campers who leave prematurely forfeit all rights to their campsite.
What is there to do? We have a full recreation program in July and August. We can also recommend many wonderful places to play and/or eat. Ask our reservations clerks upon check in.
How do I get there? From the South: Follow I-95 to the Maine Turnpike. Get off at Gray, exit 63. Follow Rt. 26 north for 12 miles. Turn right onto Connor Lane (watch for our sign). Our entrance is at the end, 1/2 mile. From the North: Get off the Maine Turnpike at Auburn, exit 75. Turn right on Rt. 202, follow 1/2 mile, turn right onto Rt. 122. Follow Rt. 122 west to Rt. 26, 5 miles. Turn right onto Rt. 26 north to the Campground Entrance, 2 1/2 miles (watch for our sign). Turn right onto Connor Lane. Our entrance is at the end, 1/2 mile. From the West: Follow Rt. 302 East to Rt. 11. Turn left onto Rt. 11 and follow to Rt. 26. Turn right on Rt. 26 and follow 2 1/2 miles south. Turn left on Connor Lane. Our entrance is at the end, 1/2 mile.
